Biography of
An eclectic artist, composer, sound engineer and writer, Alessandro Fois has been combining musical rigour with a passion for technology and communication for over thirty years. His path ranges between music, audio production, training, writing, blogging and web design, always with an integrated and original vision.
Born in Cagliari, he now resides in Ivrea (Turin), where he directs Lycnos, a creative studio for web and multimedia services, and the Glamour Recording Studioprofessional audio recording facility.
Training
He studied piano, music theory and experimental composition at the Conservatory of Cagliari. He delved into sound recording with Fonoprint e Sony Italyand attended the C.E.T. by Mogol for Music Composition and Arrangement.
Composer and Musician
As a composer and pianist, he has explored classical, jazz, blues, world music, pop, progressive and soundtrack genres, collaborating with artists and live ensembles.

As a pianist and singer, he has worked in tourism in prestigious European facilities and in corporate events, including for brands such as Ferrari. He has been director of traditional choirs and promoter of original variety shows.
Sound Engineer and Producer
From his studio Glamour Recording Studio, active for over 25 years, he is involved in recording, mixing, mastering, music production and art direction. He has also attended live events and specialised technical consultancy.
Lecturer and Trainer
He has taught 'Audio and Sound Recording' at professional institutions. He holds courses, seminars and online consultations in the field of sound and music, as well as lessons in piano, music theory, arranging and orchestration.
Writer
Author of numerous technical manuals on audio recording, mixing and mastering, distributed in print and ebook format, often also used in education. Some titles:
